Also dog-friendly: our sister-host home in Leiper’s Fork
Lyric at Leiper’s Fork is a 3-bedroom, 4-bath sister-host property on 12 private acres, 45 minutes south of Nashville. Four king beds each en-suite, a fire pit, and enough space that a big dog stops asking to leave. Best pick if your Nashville trip is really about giving the dog a real vacation.
What to Expect: Pet Fees, Rules & Fine Print
We keep pet policy simple and honest — no per-night creep, no breed profiling for well-behaved dogs, no last-minute “surprise” cleaning fees.
Pet Fee
Flat per-stay, quoted at booking. Covers deeper post-stay cleaning. No per-night charge.
How Many
One dog by default. Two dogs case-by-case — message us before booking.
Size / Breed
Dogs under 50 lbs always welcome. Larger breeds are a quick photo-and-bio approval — usually confirmed within 24 hours.
Cats or Other Pets
Dogs only. No cats, no reptiles, no birds. This is a hard line, not negotiable.
Fencing
Hydrangea and Magnolia have fully fenced yards. Rocky Top is a Midtown condo without a private yard — Centennial’s fenced dog parks are the outdoor space.
Alone Time
Reasonable stretches only, and crated is safest. Don’t leave a dog alone for a full-day stadium outing — use a Nashville daycare instead.
Booking Tip
The pet fee is the same whether you book direct on musiccitymagnolia.com or through Airbnb/VRBO — but the nightly rate is 10–20% lower when you book direct (no service fees), so the total trip is meaningfully cheaper for pet travelers on a longer stay.
Per-Home Dog Playbook
Each home fits a different kind of dog and traveler. Here’s the honest fit for each — including who each home is not right for.
Hydrangea · East Nashville · 5 Points
Hydrangea — Best for social, walkable-city dogs
- Fenced backyard — full perimeter fence, grass, shade. A dog can be off-leash the second you unlock the front door.
- Walking radius — Shelby Dog Park (5 min east, fenced 2.15 ac), Shelby Bottoms Greenway trailhead (10 min walk), Butcher & Bee dog-welcoming patio (5 blocks), Redheaded Stranger patio.
- Drive time to trails — Warner Parks 20 min west, Percy Priest Lake dog beach 20 min east.
- Best for — high-energy dogs, dogs who love patio life, small families with a young dog and kids who want walkable ice cream + off-leash park loops.
- Not the pick if — your dog is reactive around other dogs in tight spaces (5 Points sidewalks are busy) or you need silent nights (East Nashville has occasional live-music noise).
Magnolia · Crieve Hall · Brentwood-adjacent
Magnolia — Best for quiet, big-yard dogs
- Large fenced yard — mature shade trees, room to run, screened porch for the “watch the yard from the couch” dog.
- Walking radius — Crieve Hall is quiet residential; sidewalks and dead-end streets are the walking loop. Nashville Zoo greenway 10 min drive.
- Drive time to trails — Radnor Lake State Natural Area 12 min (paved Otter Creek Rd dog trail — dogs are allowed on that one stretch), Percy Warner Parks 15 min, Warner Dog Park (2 ac fenced) 15 min.
- Best for — bigger dogs, senior dogs, groups of 8–9, families who want a real neighborhood over honky-tonks, guests who need off-street parking without a downtown parking-garage tax.
- Not the pick if — you want to walk to Broadway (Magnolia is a 15–20 min rideshare from downtown).
Rocky Top · Midtown · Near Centennial Park
Rocky Top — Best for one dog + city itinerary
- No private yard (Midtown condo). The outdoor space is Centennial Park’s fenced Large + Small Dog Parks — 2.5 acres and 0.4 acres, a short walk from the door.
- Walking radius — Centennial Park (Parthenon loop, fenced dog parks), Elliston Place patios, Vanderbilt campus perimeter, Music Row.
- Drive time — 5–7 min rideshare to Broadway, 8 min to Music Row’s studios, 12 min to Nashville International Airport.
- Best for — smaller, calmer dogs; couples or two-couple trips where the itinerary is honky-tonks-and-restaurants and the dog joins for morning walks; work travelers bringing one dog.
- Not the pick if — you have a large or high-energy dog that needs a yard, or you’re avoiding urban noise (Midtown is walkable and lively).

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Music City Magnolia homes are pet-friendly?
Three homes welcome dogs: Hydrangea in East Nashville (5 Points), Magnolia in Crieve Hall, and Rocky Top in Midtown near Centennial Park. Hydrangea and Magnolia have fully fenced yards; Rocky Top is a Midtown condo without a private yard — Centennial’s fenced dog parks are its outdoor space. Our sister-host Lyric at Leiper’s Fork is also dog-friendly.
What’s the pet fee?
A flat per-stay pet fee, quoted upfront during booking. No per-night charges, no surprises. It covers deeper post-stay cleaning. Book direct on musiccitymagnolia.com for the lowest total (same pet fee, but 10–20% less on the nightly rate vs. Airbnb/VRBO).
Are there breed or weight restrictions?
Dogs under 50 lbs are always welcome. Larger breeds are approved case-by-case — send us a photo and a short bio and we usually confirm within 24 hours. We do not blanket-restrict specific breeds; we care about temperament, not the label.
Do you allow cats or other pets?
No. Our pet-friendly policy is dogs only. No cats, no birds, no reptiles, no exotics — this is a hard line for cleaning and allergy reasons and applies to all three homes.
Can I leave my dog alone at the rental?
Yes, for reasonable stretches — and crated is always safest. Don’t leave a dog alone for a full-day outing (stadium concert, all-day pool day, wedding). For that, use one of the Nashville daycares in the welcome packet.
Which home is best for a big dog?
Magnolia. It’s got the largest fenced yard, quiet residential streets for walks, and easy access to Radnor Lake’s paved dog trail and Percy Warner Parks. Rocky Top (Midtown condo, no yard) is not the pick for a large, high-energy dog.
Where’s the nearest 24-hour emergency vet?
BluePearl Nashville and Nashville Veterinary Specialists are both on Sidco Drive in Berry Hill (10–15 minutes from all three pet-friendly homes) and open 24/7. Full addresses and phone numbers are in the welcome packet at each rental.
Can I bring my dog to Broadway or Nissan Stadium?
Broadway honky-tonks generally don’t allow dogs inside, but Nashville’s patio scene is strong — Butcher & Bee, Bastion, most of 12South and East Nashville. Nissan Stadium and Bridgestone Arena do not allow pets (only service animals) — plan a daycare day or a stay-in evening for concert or Titans nights.
