Why East Bank & East Nashville Beat Downtown for a Stadium Night
Downtown is loud, expensive, and on the wrong side of the river. After the final whistle or the encore, every rideshare in the city is trying to cross the Cumberland at the same time. The post-game rideshare exit at Nissan Stadium is one of the worst in the NFL — 60,000+ people all pulling out their phones at once, most trying to cross the pedestrian bridge or push north up James Robertson Parkway. The official Uber and Lyft pickup zone is at the north end of the stadium along Titans Way, but wait times routinely hit 45–90 minutes after a Titans game or big concert, and surge pricing runs 2x to 4x.
The Local’s Trick
Walk 10 minutes north or east away from the stadium before you request a ride. From roughly McFerrin Park or the East Bank Landing area you’re out of the surge zone and pickup times drop to under 5 minutes. The walk also lets the immediate crowd disperse before you’re in a car.

The New Nissan Stadium Opens in 2027

- New parking footprint. The old surface lots on the current stadium’s site will be redeveloped after the current stadium is demolished — expect parking to be tighter and more expensive during construction and re-grading
- Same post-game rideshare surge. The bridge and the geography don’t change. Walking will still beat rideshare
