Vanderbilt University’s Kirkland Hall and West End campus are directly across the street. Perfect for parents visiting students, alumni weekends, Commodore football and basketball, or a Vanderbilt Medical stay.

Where You Are: Midtown, Corner of West End & 31st
The Honky Tonk Party Pads sit at the corner of 31st Ave N and West End Ave in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood — the corridor between downtown and the Vanderbilt campus. Centennial Park is steps out the back door. Two blocks west is McCabe Park & Golf Course. A quarter-mile east and you’re in the Vanderbilt Medical / Vanderbilt University complex. Music Row is a five-minute drive south. Hillsboro Village is a five-minute drive west. From honky-tonk row, straight down Broadway — no highway required. The airport is 15–20 minutes.
Midtown is one of Nashville’s best-kept “close to everything without being in the middle of everything” secrets. You get walkable restaurants and a real neighborhood block, plus quick rideshare access to Broadway, The Gulch, and Music Row. Groups that stay here almost always come back — the ratio of quiet-sleep-to-easy-access is the best in the city.
Tito’s Mexican Restaurant is your ground floor. Tito’s is a locally-owned Mexican restaurant on the ground floor of the Party Pads building — same building, one elevator ride away. Full menu, strong margaritas, one of the better patios in Midtown. Nothing better than a frozen marg on a pool day. Guests routinely use Tito’s as the pre-Broadway warm-up spot and the post-Broadway landing pad. Same-building convenience you can’t buy anywhere else in a Nashville rental.
Centennial Park & the Parthenon
Centennial Park is steps out the back door of the Party Pads. It’s Nashville’s central park: 132 acres, walking paths around Lake Watauga, an outdoor concert pavilion, art crawls, and Musicians Corner (free live music on select warm-weather weekends). At its center is The Parthenon — a full-scale replica of the original in Athens, complete with a 42-foot Athena statue inside.
One cool upcoming event: Candlelight: 90s Hip-Hop on Strings — a string quartet performing Fugees, Outkast, Missy Elliott, Wu-Tang, Biggie, 2Pac, and Dr. Dre by candlelight inside the Parthenon. Running select nights through January 2027. Ticketed, 60 minutes, doors 60 minutes prior.
Good to know before you go
- Parthenon interior: Closed for HVAC renovation March–June 2026. Grounds and exterior remain open and photographable throughout. Interior galleries and Athena viewing reopen mid-2026 — check the official schedule before you go.
- Musicians Corner: Free live music at Centennial Park most Saturdays May–October, plus select Fridays. Family-friendly, dog-friendly, food trucks on-site.
- Nashville Earth Day, Shakespeare in the Park, Celebrate Nashville: All happen at Centennial during the year — check the current calendar during your stay.
Getting to Broadway (and Everywhere Else)
From honky-tonk row, straight down Broadway — no highway required. You’re a 7–10 minute rideshare from Lower Broadway. Uber and Lyft are quick and affordable at this address. Downtown parking peaks around $30/hour on weekends, so most guests skip the car entirely for Broadway nights and use the private garage back home. For Vanderbilt or Vanderbilt Medical, it’s a five-minute walk. For The Gulch and Music Row, it’s a five-minute drive. For GEODIS Park (Nashville SC) or Fairgrounds, plan on 10 minutes.
Other ways to get around
- Walk it — In nice weather, Vanderbilt, Hillsboro Village, and the West End restaurant corridor are all walkable on sidewalks. Broadway is technically walkable at about 25–30 minutes on a straight sidewalk shot, but most guests find it easier to rideshare on the way in and walk back if the mood strikes. Ability-dependent.
- Scooters — Lime and Bird e-scooters are all over West End and Broadway. Unlock with the app, ride at posted speed, park in designated corrals. Fun and fast if you’re comfortable riding — Nashville sidewalk-scootering is technically not allowed downtown, so plan for street/bike-lane routes.
- Bikes — BCycle Nashville has a station right at Centennial Park (steps out the back door) and another on Vanderbilt’s campus. Both classic and e-assist bikes. Great for a Music Row loop or a Cumberland River greenway ride.
- Honky Tonk Party Bus — For groups of 12 (both pads booked together), Nashville’s original open-air party bus makes the Broadway run easy. Pregame at the Honky Tonk Hat Bar next door — pick your felt or trucker, custom-shape and burn your own cowboy or trucker hat, then roll onto the bus for the tour.

- Tito’s Mexican Restaurant — ground floor of your building. Locally-owned Mexican with a full margarita menu, generous portions, and one of the better Midtown patios. Nothing better than a frozen margarita on a pool day. The pre-Broadway warm-up and post-Broadway landing pad rolled into one.
- Red’s Hot Chicken — 115 27th Ave N. Locally-owned Nashville hot chicken done right — heat levels that mean something, chicken cooked to order, no gimmicks. A short walk from the pads.
- Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint Midtown — 2400 Elliston Pl. Whole hog, low-and-slow West Tennessee-style. Get the pulled pork sandwich, the banana pudding, and a spot on the patio. About a 5–7 minute walk.
- San Antonio Taco Co. (Satco) — 416 21st Ave S. Vanderbilt neighborhood institution since 1984. Order-at-the-counter, patio only, wildly cheap tacos and nachos. The place every Vanderbilt alum remembers. About a 5-minute drive.
- J. Alexander’s — 2609 West End Ave. American classics done polished — steaks, salads, a real bar. The dependable birthday-dinner spot when the whole family is in town.
- Neighbors of Sylvan Park — 4425 Murphy Rd. Neighborhood tavern with wings, burgers, and the friendliest bar staff in West Nashville. About a 10-minute drive but worth it — locals-only energy.
- Lion’s Share — 4410 Murphy Rd, Sylvan Park. New (opened April 2026) modern American right next to Neighbors. Solid seasonal menu and cocktail program. About a 10-minute drive.
- Woodlands Indian Vegetarian — 3415 West End Ave. South Indian vegetarian dosas and thalis — one of the most-recommended Indian rooms in Nashville. About a 5-minute drive.
Lion’s Head Village — international dining row
Lion’s Head Village at 4009 Hillsboro Pike is a compact international-dining row about a 10-minute drive from the Party Pads. Three destination-worthy restaurants in one micro-block:
- Anatolia Turkish Restaurant — long-running Nashville Turkish kitchen with kebabs, mezze, and a warm room. A favorite for its Sunday-night crowd.
- Sonobana Japanese Restaurant — Nashville’s oldest Japanese restaurant (since 1987). Sushi bar, teppan, and a nostalgic dining room that locals return to year after year.
- Ollè Korean Eats — Newest addition to the village (opened October 2025). Modern Korean small plates, tteokbokki, and one of the neighborhood’s most-talked-about new openings.
Hillsboro Village — 5 minutes away
- Twenty First — 1602 21st Ave S. Two-level Hillsboro Village concept from Just One More Hospitality (Noble’s, Crow’s Nest, Dalton’s Grill). Opened January 2025 — dinner service now with lunch and brunch expanding. One of the most-talked-about newer restaurants in the neighborhood.
- The Chloe — 1906 Acklen Ave, Belmont/Hillsboro. Bright European-brasserie feel, solid oysters, worth the visit for date night. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
- San Antonio Taco Co. (Satco) — 416 21st Ave S. Vanderbilt neighborhood institution since 1984. Order-at-the-counter, patio only, wildly cheap tacos and nachos. The place every Vanderbilt alum remembers.
- Pancake Pantry — 1796 21st Ave S. Nashville’s most-recognized breakfast institution. Line before opening on weekends. Cash-friendly.
- Fido — 1812 21st Ave S. All-day café inside a former pet store. Great breakfast biscuits, real espresso, weekend brunch that draws a crowd.
- Hattie B’s Hot Chicken — 112 19th Ave S. The most famous name in Nashville hot chicken. The Midtown location is closest to the Party Pads. Expect a line at peak times.

- Tantísimo — 306 46th Ave N, Sylvan Park. Farm-to-table Latin American café by day, sharable plates and craft cocktails by night. One of Nashville’s most-talked-about newer openings — pisco sours, empanadas, seasonal menu. Reservations recommended for dinner. Closed Mondays. About a 10-minute drive.
- Neighbors Sylvan Park — 4425 Murphy Rd. The original Neighbors from former Titan Zach Piller and his wife Victoria — house-smoked meats, 20 beers on tap, dog-friendly patio, live music Tue/Fri/Sat, trivia Wednesdays, Ballad Bingo Tuesdays. Everyday sports-bar energy in the middle of Sylvan Park. Open 11 AM–1 AM daily. About a 10-minute drive from the pads.
- Caffé Nonna — 4427 Murphy Rd, Sylvan Park (right next door to Neighbors). Nashville’s oldest Italian restaurant (since 1999) — chef Daniel Maggipinto’s grandmother’s recipes, arancini, mussels in saffron cream, lasagna bolognese. Intimate, cozy, worth the drive. About 10 minutes.
- Sperry’s Belle Meade — 5109 Harding Pike. Belle Meade steakhouse since 1974 — home of Nashville’s first salad bar, still family-owned by the Thomas family. Old-Nashville dinner energy, generous portions. Opens at 4 PM daily. About a 12-minute drive.
- Avo — 4 City Blvd Suite 104, oneC1TY. Plant-based, scratch kitchen, seasonal menu, famous avocado margarita. Free 2-hour parking on-site. About a 5-minute drive.
- Aloha Fish Company — 3 City Ave Suite 200, oneC1TY. Family-owned Hawaiian-influenced seafood market and kitchen — fresh Pacific fish, poke, and cooked plates. Free 2-hour parking. About a 5-minute drive.
- The Stillery Midtown — 1921 Broadway. Gastropub with pizza, burgers, live music, and a big patio. Casual, easy for a group. About a 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk.
- Noko Yaki — 3201 West End Ave (opening 2026). Asian-inspired neighborhood steakhouse with tableside grilling from the team behind East Nashville’s Noko and Kase x Noko. Taking over the beloved old Tin Angel space — one of the most-anticipated Nashville openings of the year.
- Arnold’s Country Kitchen — 605 8th Ave S. James Beard Award-winning cafeteria-style meat-and-three. Monday–Saturday for lunch only — they close when the food runs out. About a 7-minute drive.

iykyk: The West End Chili’s at 2911 West End Ave is a five-minute walk from the pads. Yes, it’s a Chili’s — it’s also a Vanderbilt-era institution, staff you’ll recognize, and a running joke every Nashville local has about the “best triple-dipper in town.” Not a recommendation. Not not a recommendation either.

- Odie’s Bar — 1919 Division St, Midtown. Old Dominion’s (the ACM/CMA-winning band) own Nashville bar — opened April 2025 in the former ReBar space. 9,000 sq ft, string-lit backyard, 50-foot bar, 15-foot LED wall, burger kitchen, live music, and lawn games. Dog-friendly, 21+ after 3 PM. About a 5-minute drive.
- Tin Roof Midtown — 1516 Demonbreun St. The original Tin Roof — the Nashville songwriter-and-live-music bar that has spawned locations across the country. Free live music seven nights a week, real food, real bar. About a 5-minute drive.
- Red Door Saloon Midtown — 1816 Division St. Long-running neighborhood dive with a redwood-deck patio on Demonbreun — the same patio Morgan Wallen has name-checked more than once. Real bar snacks, real characters, real Nashville. About a 5-minute drive.
- Springwater Supper Club & Lounge — 115 27th Ave N. Consistently voted Nashville’s favorite dive and often called the oldest bar in Tennessee (since 1896). Cash-only, beer-only, 21+, live music three or four nights a week. About a 5-minute walk from the pads — you can’t get closer to authentic Nashville than this.
- The Local — 110 28th Ave N. Long-running Vanderbilt/Hillsboro bar with a real kitchen (lunch through late-night) and original songwriters most nights. Easy 5-minute walk and a great low-key alternative to Broadway.

Practical Info
Parking — Private 2-level parking garage for the complex — no code needed. Park in any unnumbered space; the four handicap spots on the ground floor are marked. Additional parking on the second level — follow the signs and take the stairs. Free street parking on the surrounding blocks with no permit required, but most guests use the garage on arrival and grab rideshare for Broadway.
Groceries — Trader Joe’s at 3909 Hillsboro Pike is about a 5-minute drive. For a bigger run, Publix at Capitol View is the closest full-size grocery. Whole Foods Broadway is about 5 minutes.
Pets — The Honky Tonk Party Pads are not pet-friendly. Service animals accommodated per ADA (service animals cannot be left alone in the rental).
WiFi, work setup & TV — Fast WiFi and a real work setup in both pads. Every TV runs YouTube TV so the game is always on — Titans, Vandy, SEC football, Preds, live news, live cable. The building also has an on-site business center and a shared conference table on the ground floor — perfect for group meetings, breakout calls, or spreading out a laptop-and-notebook setup outside the pad. Fido and Frothy Monkey in Hillsboro Village are solid work-from-café backups five minutes away.
Coffee & kitchen — Both pads have a combo drip + K-Cup coffee setup — make a pot for the group or grab a quick single-serve on your way out the door. Kitchens are fully stocked and fit for a holiday — whether it’s a Friendsgiving pull-off, a birthday-cake weekend, or an extended stay, you’ve got the pans, sheet trays, mixing bowls, knives, and the full spread. No paper-plate rental-kitchen situation.
